It’s been an eventful two weeks for Timothy Bradley Jr.
Last week, the Cathedral City boxer parted ways with longtime trainer Joel Diaz, just two days before Top Rank promotions went public about Bradley’s scheduled fight with Brandon Rios on Nov. 7 in Las Vegas.

Timothy Bradley Jr. has hired Teddy Atlas to train him a little more than a week after parting ways with Joel Diaz.
Then, on Thursday night, Bradley (32-1-1) announced on his Instagram page and via Twitter that he has hired veteran trainer Teddy Atlas to help him prepare for the HBO televised bout. With eight weeks before he steps back in the ring, Bradley sure knows how to draw attention.

Teddy Atlas has been hired as Timothy Bradley’s new trainer.

Atlas is also known for his boxing commentating during NBC’s coverage of the last four summer Olympics, and ESPN’s Fright Night Fights.
It is unclear where Bradley will hold training camp. He has his own gym in Indio and Atlas is based on the East Coast.
With just eight weeks before he meets Rios in the ring, Bradley’s decision to hire Atlas was a critical move by the WBO welterweight titlist.
